Hi Ian

No one is saying Mik Stones is not original or doubting it is different

Only that for some reason the MS one got listed as Alphsim, so Tony downloaded an 'Alphsim' version and that turned out to be the Mike Stone one.

Someone misslabeled it along the way.

Cheers for sorting that one out, 'Harry'

Joking aside, it seems there is a fair amount of potential confusion in Valiant world. At least Techy is on the right trail for getting a correctly painted camo bird now. Any more shots for us, mate?

Hi Ian

What Steve was saying was the so called Alphsim one...that is the one that was labelled as Alphasim was a modded Mike Stone one.....that is MS with perhaps mods to the texturing

He didn't mean that Apha had modded Mikes, but I do see that it could be read that way.

Thanks for that, Garry. One thing I want to stress, is that no disrespect was meant at any time to Mike Stone's model. All three models in question here have their pros and cons. Maybe we will get a new model one day - I recall Paul Foster asked me for some Valiant materials last year, and may add that to his future projects, which would be very nice.

I am NOT saying anything more than that though!!

It's looking good, but from the screenies it appears the serial font might be wrong but it's hard to tell. The '1' definitely looks off, as it is serif and I believe the RAF font is sans. Simmers Paintshop, my all time favourite, has the correct RAF fonts if you need them. Their swatches are also bang on if you ever need them, although your colours look good here.

Keep it up the good work. :welldone:

Hi Steve

Tony's colours look good because I pointed him to Simmers Paintshop swatches the other day.

Glad you agree on the values used :)

I guess it's just a matter of time before he finds the fonts
