Re: Avro Vulcan
I have posted the question with their support, but I'm almost certain this IS NOT an FSX model. It clearly states FSX "COMPATIBLE" and several features don't work in FSX SP2 which has been with developers since October last year, so I'd give her a miss given there are other proper FSX models in development.

Re: Avro Vulcan
No worries mate, if their support comes back with something different, I'll let you all know.

Ben.

Re: Avro Vulcan
It says the autopilot doesn't work in FSX with Acceleration and/or Service Pack 2. Thats a pretty big thing not to work on a Vulcan, isn't it ? :o
Must be some reason why they've rushed it out; goodness knows what though. I can't possibly imagine.

Here is the reply from Justflight....
Hi Ben,
Thank you for contacting Just Flight about RAF Vulcan.
As detailed on our website, this product has now been made available for use in Flight Simulator X, and is the original model updated to be compatible with FSX. Please note that there are some limitations when used with SP2/Acceleration, and this is detailed on the product pages.
Unfortunately I do not know the exact development work which was carried out during the stages of making this product FSX compatible, but do know that a large number of aspects which were "broken" when the FS2004 version was installed in to FSX, have now been fixed to ensure that it works correctly in FSX.
Best wishes,

Just Flight a division of Mastertronic Group Limited (company number 4747194) is a company registered in England and Wales whose registered office is 2 Stonehill, Stukeley Meadows, Huntingdon PE29 6ED.I Am interested in buying the Vulcan updated for FSX, however I see that it is now FSX "Compatible." I assume this to mean it is still the FS9 Model and original texture and has not been compiled using xTOMDL (The FSX Compiler) or have DDS textures? Confirmation of this would be most appreciated. Many thanks, Ben Watson
Ben.

Re: Avro Vulcan
Id like to know what parts were "broken" firstly... My JF Vulcan is behaving well in FSX, no problems other than the rapid start and auto pilot and landing lights...

Re: Avro Vulcan
I agree. I keep thinking of the Iris F-14A, and what a fabulous looking model that was, so I'm really looking forward to seeing more of their Vulcan.Chris Sykes wrote:Not that id buy it anyway with the Alpha of the IRIS Vulcan sitting nicely in my Simobjects folder im quite content
