Doesn't seem to like DX10. I get blank textures.
Error 482: Somebody shot the server with a 12 gauge.

Blank textures in FSX w/ SP2 is caused by the "DX10 Demo" setting. It will not display textures in any DXT# format, only the FSX DDS default format.

Thanks for the link, Steel. A nice video. The only Spitfire I've ever seen in real life was a two-seater. I wonder if the Spitfire in your video was the one I saw here in the US? :think:steelsporran wrote:Meanwhile the real McCoy gets airborne in NZ http://www.tv3.co.nz/VideoBrowseAll/Nat ... aspx#video

This is a very kind act to release this aeroplane for everyone, but sadly its not for me. Not because I'm not keen on Spitfires, but for more sentimental reasons.
Norman Lees who I knew from my HFT, Radial Pair and Intrepid Aviation days was sadly killed in this airframe in 2000 at Goodwood, when he was instructing then then the new owner a South African gentleman. His loss made me think if flying was really worth it and so it took me almost two years to get back into aviation. Everytime I see the newly created Spitfire, it just saddens me and I sometimes think is a few bits of metal more important than two lives. There are enough Spitfires out there already.
Perhaps its wrong of me to put my thoughts here and for that I apologise, but nope its not for me.
Best wishes to all,
Martin
