The Brough looks superb...is it a Die-Cast or a plastic kit?
Yes, I think he did see me as I took about the fourth picture of him...Then I got a final one as he slouched off rather furtively :)

The Brough is a "MINICHAMPS" diecast 1:12 scale model. It is the most complicated motorcycle model ever attempted by them and it certainly is spectacular. I well remember my father having great difficulty remembering how to re-assemble the front forks after he had completely stripped and re-stove enamelled the hundreds of parts. I have been quite surprised to find that zooming into my pictures of the Brough, I can get to see many details on the model that I have not spotted with my eye :dancer:

Thought I would try my camera to make a new avatar...Hmmm...There is half a Century between my age in the signature banner and the new avatar. And yes! I know it shows :-(

BTW...just finished preparing my GPS to run me up to the "Mach Loop" in Snowdonia...I want to try my hand at those sort of pictures ;-)

Wonderful detail on that Merc...err...sorry...Mercedes Peter, you don't by any chance have the real version tucked away in the garage?

Just thought, you could advertise that on E-Bay for xxxx amount, they wouldn't know until it arrived that they were getting the match box edition.

Regards
Nigel.

I'm afraid the Mercedes in my garage is a rather smaller version:-

Interesting that my Smart has disc brakes at the front...That 300 SLR holding Moss and Jenkinson's MilleMiglia record of 1955 had drum brakes (mounted inboard to reduce unsprung weight)...I guess that discs came into use a bit later :)

That's a cracking model, just need a Jag D-Type to complement it :)
