Hi Plymouth Air

Two options

Find another

Or enlarge that one, make it at least 200dpi and redraw it on another layer using that one as a templete

I will try both of those thanks again,

I may have to make my own!

One more question (Sorry) is uploading to say avsim aloud?
Even though i have downloaded a new set of the paintkit, unmodified exept from the change of file type and the modification of the ''paint layer'' i still ahve the blurry tail! It must be me! DXT3 is the correct file type isn't it?

That's better

Why the heck DXTBmp defaults to mips on (worse on older versions as the mip tick was on a menu off the taskbar) I'll never know. The good thing is.. if you start doing a lot of paints, you'll quickly get into the habit of moving over to the RH side and unticking mips as soon as the prog has opened ;-)

True Dave

But saying that mine is off by default for some time now....don't know why it changed :dunno:

I think the on thing is a throw back to pre Nvidia cards which seemed to want them.

But like the other settings it's just something as you say you get used to setting up each time, and if you minimise instead of closing it of course stays put.

Hello Mate..

I think it's probably ATI cards that needed mips and not Nvidia which are better in this respect. If you want a good 'all round' performer with the minimum of fuss and are not fussed about absolute clarity.. ATI fit's the bill. However, ATI cards (in my experience) do not do AA anywhere near as well as Nvidia so 1 layer of mips 'sort'a' makes up for this deficiency ;-)

Hi Plymouthair..

I think that's fine mate though check Rick's readme just to make sure. Uploading paints shouldn't be a problem as long as that is all you upload (eg.. don't upload the model too) ;-)
