Just bought a new flatbed scanner that also scans slides. I'm currently ploughing my way through loads of boxes of slides. These were all taken at Leuchars, mainly during the 1980s, though a few are from the early 1990s.
Well done Steve, an excellent collection. Having spent may months scanning the Tangmere museum's Michael Harries Collection of slides on a flatbed, I know just how much time and effort it takes to get results like that.
Do you know the date the 29 Squadron Phantom in Barley Grey was taken and do you by any chance have any more? We're repainting Tangmere's Phantom (XV408) in these colours - 29 Squadron was the main night-fighter squadron there (Mosquito NF36 and Meteor NF11 and NF14) in the post-war period and was directly involved in the 1946 Donaldson, 1953 Duke and 1956 Twiss World Airspeed Record attempts while operating from Tangmere so it's time it had some proper representation at the museum albeit by an aircraft the squadron never operated from there - and additional photos to those we already have would be most useful.
Once again, great stuff with the scanning and keep up the good work.
Pete
