Bit of a long shot here, but does anyone know of someone who flew the Sea Hawk (or better yet, flew it themselves)? Brian Horsey is coming along with the FDEs and I want to test it out preferably with someone who knows how it really handled.
All help vastly appreciated.
Cheers,
Steve

The sea hawk ? How about the RNAS memorial flight ? There's one still flying. They're based at Yeovilton, but heck, you folks will know this anyway.

Tried them the other day, thank you, and am waiting to hear back...probably my best bet at the moment.

Here's hoping they get back to you. I was lucky enough to see the Black Cats and the Sea Hawk rehearsing for a display at the end of last summer at Yeovilton.

Must have been a nice sight. So far no word, but I'll push on regardless.

Re: Looking for Sea Hawk pilots (real ones that is)
I think you might be wasting your time Steve, a real world pilot Sea Hawk pilot with no knowlege of the limitations of MSFS will not always be able to help.
I suggest contacting Peter McCleland who although (I do not think) he has never flown the Sea Hawk, he has huge experience of fighters of that vintage AND (just as important) of flying in MSFS. I think that would be more important than trying to get her to fly 'by the real world' book, by someone who has no idea about the 'realities' of MSFS.

Re: Looking for Sea Hawk pilots (real ones that is)
Trev is right that I never flew the Seahawk, so I would be unable to spot anything not quite correct. If you wish me to just look at it then I would be delighted...But I would only be able to spot something glaring and not right for any jet fighter of the period

Re: Looking for Sea Hawk pilots (real ones that is)
All good points there gents, and as it turns out, the RNHF got back to me with the info that the pilot is quite rightly busy with real world things and not even an FS user (a bit of a long shot anyway). Peter, you are more than welcome to beta test it when I get to that stage. It feels right to me at the moment, and the guy who's doing the FDEs is pretty good at following the official Pilot's Notes as much as permitted. That said, there may be something someone with your expertise will spot.
