New Kai Tak Scenery On The Way

Post by Pielstick »

Apparently it will be in both FS9 and FSX flavours...

Personally I'm a little disappointed with the choice of Kai Tak when we already have 9 Dragons freeware. I would have much preferred a major airport that has been overlooked in FS9, something like JFK, Vancouver, Auckland, Bahrain or Beijing... :dunno:

As for trying to get this scenery running in FSX with a flyable frame rate.... well..... good luck!

PS - take a look at the Cathay A330 in the 5th pic - a bit premature with the thrust reversers

Thanks for the heads-up... I have to admit that a 'FLY TAMPA' Kai Tak, is something that I'll buy... I've got all their later stuff and enjoy it immensely.

Kind regards

John

Ps in your id pic are you standing in what I'd know as an SCC?

Yep, but in my mob we call it an MCR :)

I've got all the FT sceneries too, and they are fantastic, I just wish they had done an airport that hasn't been done before :-(

Yes I will certainly buy that...9 Dragons did not suit my set up and I removed it...I doubt that Fly Tampa will inflict a new concrete surface on the whole FS9 the way 9 Dragons did (what a bl**dy cheek!).

Very impressive pictures and I look forward to it...Thanks for the heads up :flying:

I had problems with the 9Dragons version as well, and I don't believe that they have AES support either, something that I quite like (although I still need to petition them to add more than just one tug type as the "super tug" isn't exactly the right tug in all situations). All of FlyTampa's sceneries I have have AES support and I'm sure their Kai Tak will as well, and so that's a major selling point.

Yes,

I like AES Chris and have a lot of airports with it...I'm sure it will be fitted at Kai Tak in the Fly Tampa version :flying:
