An OV-10? Wow. Can't imagine you can get much foam in that little thing!
I haven't been able to do as much on the Hawk as I wanted recently, but have managed to get Skippy's pilot in the seat now so it is no longer a drone. ;-) More pics when there is progress.
Actually Steve the Forestry service use King Airs, Cessna Skymasters (O-2Cs) and OV10s for spotting and marking fire lines for the bombers - The Fire-Cats are used for both spotting and dropping - Up in Montana they seem to prefer P3s and Skymasters
California and Oregon have the largest fleets -- Take a cruise up Route 99 sometime Steve - Over the Grapevine and up through Bakersfield, Tulare Visalia and Fresno , up to Modesto and then Stockton -- you will find six really interesting airports to nose around and all have tanker bases
Very good point there, John, he does look a tad small. Thing is, I won't be able to enlarge him that much more, as he is quite proportional to the seat, stick and rudder pedals. I referenced him roughly to a profile shot of me sitting in a Sea Hawk (which you can partly see in my avatar) so he's not too far off. I will see if I can get him a touch bigger though.
The good news I am in full variant production now, which means after the panel is done, we're ready for beta. Which brings up another point - are there any takers for doing the panel (2D) yet? I mentioned it before, and the offer still stands. If not I will happily soldier on but it'll take a bit longer of course.
Seaking, yes, got them weathered up now, esp. the Suez birds with their dirty gun panels. Love the grime, unfortunately for me, the RN kept their birds a damnsight cleaner than the RAF!
Was looking at some of my RN shots and came across this, as your building the Seahawk thought you would appreciate such
a wonderful site of this great bird. Wouldn't it be great to recreate this in the sim with a folded wing model as static as well.
Sorry Gary, port unknown.....I have quite a few pics from when we were a REAL Navy and I would like to post them up
even though it's not sim related, I thought some of the guys out there would appreciate it, I have pics of the Ark Royal, Eagle
all with aircraft on deck going back to the Wyvern days etc, if this is ok let me know and I'm happy to post.
