There was a time when some locally could not get BBC at all but they still had to pay the license :-(

No......almost though........ B &W 405 line when the big knob went clonk clonk clock as you turned from channel 4 (BBC) to channel 9 (ITV) :lol:

These folks never have had BBC in the normal fashion and only saw it when satelite came about :)

Well as it happens I don't have a television. :-( .......well I do but it's in storage :'( ..I don't have an aeriel :-( :-(

There is a building with a tower right in the line of the signal

I would have to have like the house behind a high gain aerial on a fifty foot pole. :o
