Strange error message

Post by fighterpilot »

Does anybody have any clues as to why i am seeing this error message?

Image

It keeps occurring as i climb out of Bermuda on route for Barbados with a VA flight. I have never seen it before and have no idea as to what could possibly be causing it.

Hi Richard..

The Micro$oft website gives this explanation..

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/125749

A bit too technical for me I'm afraid

Well mate.. that's always a good starting place. If you've just added something and you had no problem before.. remove the new bit and see if it goes away. If it does.. fill the developers inbox ;-) Whatever.. the error is associated with C++ so we both know something we didn't

I used to get a similar message trying to enter the USA and also the UK from the Atlantic :worried:

In the end I disabled all my scenary addons apart from UK 2000 and in my case that did it.

yes i will remove the scenery for the area. Thankfully it's happening right at the beginning of the flight rather than at the end, sepescially with the length of flight.

Hi Richard,
I am not saying that this is the only case when you get this but normally its due to an effect, and quite often its linked to AI. It can be quite a job to narrow it down.
Smoke effects or burner effects that are taken from flyable aircraft and applied to AI aircraft are quite often the culprit. It would take too long to explain but basically they have to be modified to work properly.
You may have to really do some narrowing down work, the first time I got this it took me about two weeks to narrow it down to a burner effect I was creating for an AI F-15E.

Hope this helps.

i think i have found he problem, from their website and forum (http://www.fs-freeflow.com/index.php)it appears the AI shipping is to blame, haven't got time to try a flight now but i am hoping i have nailed it.

had the same error, for me it was Flight Deck 5 in FS2004. Downgraded to Flight Deck 4 and problem solved!
