RNAS Culdrose

Post by DaveG »

Just got back from a lovely couple of weeks in Cornwall. Weather was great, apart from a couple of days, one of which had to be the day of the air show

Cloudbase was so low not a great deal of flying took place. Hey ho.

Hiya Dave..

I've been looking at the weather where you were all week and the big black rain cloud didn't move off Cornwall once!! Expected you back with webbed fingers and toes

Glad you made the show even though it was not the best of days ;-)

I did a job at Yeovilton the other day and was lucky enough to talk to the Black Cats... what a great bunch of blokes! Shame the weather wasn't better at Culdrose... but there's some great pics there anyway. Thanks so much for sharing.

Kind regards

John

Yep!

That is the Culdrose AirDay weather I remember!

Cracking shots considering the light however, great work! I love the front on Merlin shot you posted first.

Glad you did catch some decent weather in the Duchy either side of the airday.

Fras.

Luckily, the weather was great for out first week, as per Vegas' Cornwall pictures.

The F3 Tonkas did a very limited RAF role demo, (taking the part of the GR4s that didn't make it due to the weather  ) mainly as an excuse to set off the explosions :fart:
