Hi Michael :)

I suppose I'd better go and download it too just to see what PP has given away  I had your first model and I'm guessing this is the freebie. I didn't actually realise it had been updated until UKMIL posted shots of repaints they'd done towit.. these were downloaded. They pointed to variants I didn't have which I later understood to be a 'new' model :dunno: Cest la vie ;-)

Still.. it was a worthwhile exercise. I didn't buy the 'new' version but found your original to fly ok in FS9 :cpu:

Well I have no idea whats uploaded, but if you get any issues, let me know and I'll sort the relvant files, there should be a F3 and an F8 model in there somewhere.

I cant honestly remember if its the updated model or not, I just have the latest one here nd thats the one that should be free, terrible this aging process :dunno:

Best

Hi Michael..

I've just got around to checking which Meteor has been uploaded and it's your original model.. the F3 (the one I already have). The updated F3/F8 pack is still for sale on the Alpha site ;-)

David,

Something not right there, because the texture source files I've been uploading are for the F3/F8 pack and shouldnt fit the old set up, I think the old one went freeware years ago as it was mainly for CFS2, I dont think Alphasim would re-release something twice ?.

Two options, either the recent released Meteor is packaged wrong or the shop hasnt been updated to remove the product.

OK just double checked at SoH in the Alphaoldies section and its definately the F3/F8 package, ie both models and four paint schemes, suggest you go grab it quick :) , the Alphasim shop just looks like it hasnt been updated yet.

That was a close call  as the source files are now 'elsewhere' !.

Best

Hi Michael :)

Glad to be of assistance.. even though I had no idea I was doing so (those are the best escapes aren't they) ;-)

Off to download the 'on sale' package now ;-)

Well both mine(Rick's T.7 and Alpha's F.3/F.8)don't have Lear "Hoover Junior" sounds.

I think I pinched the sound from DM's Avro 707.Yes I know it's a Nene, but it's a centrifugal as is a Derwent and having seen and heard that restored NF.11 that wazzes about the airshow circuits both in the air and taxying,DM's "Nene" sounds are pretty close.

I'm surprised that ERICK CANTU hasn't replied to this thread. He did some sounds for Rick's Meteor when it was released and I've been using them. He posted them for download somewhere, maybe he remembers. I think he actually tweaked a set of Avon sounds, but I thought it sounded appropriately Meatboxish. :)

(BTW, the bold capital name is so hopefully Erick will actually be prompted to reply). :)

Er,or it might be Erick's sounds then.It certainly isn't Learjet Hoover sounds.
I know it makes a right racket when you pour the sauce and needs a good handful of power to get moving
