FSX T-45 Goshawk

Post by DaveG »

Just a heads-up.

New T-45 Goshawk by Dino Cattaneo is up at Avsim.

Requires FSX Acceleration pack as it uses the F18 HUD & MFD gauges.

Flies nice and looks good, though I think it seems a bit narrow :dunno:

First class freeware, just a shame that you have to buy the MS add-on though!

To be honest if you haven't got Acceleration, you're probably missing 90% of what the plane is about anyway as it's perfect for carrier practise. I think my abuse of Mr Piper's creation for that was going to end in tears!

Indeed, it's great fun practicing carrier landings. It's nice to have a tailhook that works without some complex gauges, too.

Roll rate is really poor....go into .CFG and change the aileron_effectiveness under................[flight_tuning] to 20.0.........much more realistic in my opinion...... :)

I think its a cracking model though......doesn't sniff of a port over either.... :dunno:

I have, I just fear for the undercarriage!

Tony, its not a port over, its a full blown SP2/ACC SDK model, has to be for the required carrier animations and hooks to work in FSx, certainly looks the part and the price is right :). Mind default carriers are woefully inept in there accuracy LOL, but if you squint hard enough there acceptable until something better comes along :).

Best

Michael
