If the jet is wondering up and down + or - 100' it is about spot on![]()

I suppose I'm used to the A/C wondering a little - although as I say using trim only is totally fine - perhaps under XP the Datum adjust acts differently? I never use it to dial in huge climb rates above about 500' - the main thing is that, *now*, irrespective of me dialling + or - 100' the aircraft will always begin a descent. The only way it will climb using Datum is by dialling about 1800' - when the trim will just go crazy.
Historically, I used Datum when in the cruise at say FL370. After setting ALT LOCK, I would dial in +100' - which gave a small climb rate to help fuel burn and maintain speed. Similarly, I'd use about -400 for a long descent toward destination. Now, I cannot get the Aircraft to climb this way at all.
