Is the Vulcan operational, anyone know ?

Post by Paul K »

The Vulcan is scheduled for Duxford this weekend, and I was just wondering if anyone had news regarding her airworthy status, and whether she is likely to be there ?

Any inside news, informed opinion or wildly unfounded speculation much appreciated, as ever. :)

I suggest you keep your ear to the ground over the next few days. With the recent (yesterday) additions to its programme, one would expect it to be attempting this weekends shows. I suggest you keeps your eyes on at least:

Also the UKAR/http://www.airshows.co.uk forum, http://forums.airshows.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=28. Historically, and if they have any sense this weekend, TVOC, or their associates have posted updates on there fairly promptly.

Oh thanks for that Tonks...at a push, you don't know what time she's due at Duxford on Sunday do you ? Someone has told me 10 am, which would be a bit odd as a lot of people would still be travelling to the place, and way outside the normal flying program time.

Just overflew Wyton. Not entirely sure on the details of her appearance, but she definitely made one!
