Moonstrike

Post by DispatchDragon »

I guess this is more for the senior members amongst us

Anyone remember the BBC TV show "Moonstrike" from the early 60s???

I have googled myself silly trying to find the theme to it --- It seems to me it was whistled at the begining

can anyone confirm this?

Also was there not a series about Bomber Command and Lancasters from the same period???

Thanks -- Im having a senior moment

Try Googling 'Ron Goodwin and his orchestra' Leif - they did the moonstrike music :)

Never heard of them Leif but you're year or so on me may have made that difference

I'll keep a look out when I do one of my end of day 'boredom' searches

All manner of things turn up on those :)

Leif I have been trying hard to find a site that can play the music track but unfortunately have come across a brick wall...Even the BBC don't seem to have it for streaming!!

Nigel.

Oddly enough, Leif, I was thinking about Moonstrike tonight. I drove past the old Pathfinder base at Bourn, and from the new A428 fly-over I got a wonderful view up the old runway in the moonlight. I know Moonstrike was about SOE agents rather than bombers, but it seemed appropriate. I do remember the opening titles and the theme music, as it was essential viewing for my dad, and used to come on just as I was sent to bed.
