I've always liked the TSR2, but after watching that video, I'm wondering if a major redesign of the undercarriage wouldn't be in order prior to service entry. There is WAY too much deflection in the legs at initial touchdown on what is otherwise a fairly mundane landing. I could understand 3-4 inch deflection on a heavy landing, but that wasn't especially heavy (based on the compression of the struts) yet you got at least 3-4 inches of deflection, if not more, in the main gear legs. That's not something that leads to long lasting landing gear, especially attach points.

I can't remember if that vid shows it now but a mod had been introduced to at least one of the airframes. It braced the gear from the back in an attempt to stop the 'walking'.

I think the problem is that it's too tall. The only way they could have fixed the issue was shorten or thicken the landing gear legs. I don't know that bracing would be a good permanent solution in service. It would be interesting to see video of the modified gear though.
