Well.. it's in colour which means it's partially real.. they're foreign but not japanese which would suggest it's not but more importantly, I reckon the herbert sent skyward would probably have had his legs (amongst other bones) shattered by the impact of that weight hitting the other end of whatever it was he was supposed to be standing on.

I recommend similar treatment is handed out forthwith to all ASBO's/Hoodies

The sign appears to be in German as are the voices
The sign looks fake -- beyond all the various questions as to WHY you would want to lift a crane with an enclosed box into the air and then just drop it is beyond me -- Then there are several of Newtons Laws being totally ignored - The board he is carrying appears to be an ironing board -- having seen what a wave can do to a hefty surfboard I would say the box or what ever it is would break the board and leave the hooligan standing -- as Dave said there is also a question of the mass being converted to energy very very quickly reducing young lochinvar's legs to jelly on impact I think some one went to the circus and
saw acrobats using seesaws to launch people and took it from there.....Fake I think\\Oh yes and before anyone decides to flame my derriere --- Take a look at this photo of a standard base jumping back and what the young man is seen wearing

The site I saw the vid on was a serious crane site the link from that site took it to the site you see there

They say it is real and the crane is compacting earth and he sneaks up without the crane operator knowing

Well how would he sneak up and the driver not see him when he stand there setting up.

Also why would a single crane be working on a site with nothing else arround

The drop that propells him seems faster than the others.

The gap between the up and him coming down looks like where they joined two shots

I think it's fake...but funny

Yep you're right on the original site where is supposedly explains tha is does say they are German.

Ditto. Except rather than standing on the board, it should be positioned to deliver a blow just below their delinquent chins.......

very certainly fake,

the surfboard would have snapped in two, and if that didn't happen, his legs being turned to jelly would have asorbed most of the force and he wouldn't have gone very high.

It's a rather obvious fake. It's easy to spot the CGI parts, and the camera work is clearly a semi-prio trying to look like an amateur with a handy cam.

Reminds me of this one:
