Roof With A View

Post by Garry Russell »

An interesting assortment of pics taken from the roof at Newcatle over the years

Pics of Air Anglia F.27 G-BFDS (PH-ARO) are quite rare

Brilliant find Garry, nice shots from my new local airport. :dancer:

Interesting bit....
G-AOYO Viscount Northeast 16-01-71. Still stored at Los Rodeos, Tenerife, in 2005.
I didn't think there were any stored outside africa (other than museums)

Hi Ben

I think both the Canarias Viscount are still there

One was being used as a bar.

Ironic as BAF refused to buy them back in the 80's as they were too corroded but they have outlived most of the the BAF fleet

There is the Lufthansa trraining Viscount and an ex Alitalia training machine abandoned and dusty and a couple at least in playgrounds in Brasil plus at least one in a playground in Colombia.

A few dotted arround here and there

I thought you might find this interesting after your recent move.

Such a variety of shapes and liveries :)

they are there... and they are very tasteful ;-)

I've gotta say that as they were built down the road... but I like the 360 :)

Wonderful find Garry, spent quite some time there just looking.
