Handley Page Hermes panel question

Hello all,

I'm trying to collect information about the cockpit / panel of the HP.81 Hermes. I have found some excellent photos of the fuselage preserved at Duxford, but that cockpit seems to be missing something at the top of the panel:

Does any of you know what was there? (I know about the HP Hastings panel, the Hermes panel was different)

Hi

Looks like a suitable hole for a Nav Plotter to sit in, 'moving map' used by the Decca Nav system. Could be wrong though....
