Thanks for the info Rich, I remember now, it has been well over thirty years since I last flew and over that time things have got a bit clouded!! :$

As I now remember, to fly overhead the airfield for civilians it was 2,000ft but strangely, for servicemen flying over it was advised 3,000ft!!........No joke!!

Suppose they must have thought at that height we would not hit the chosen target!! :lol:

Lol - I'll make no comment on those altitudes being a reflection of the competancy of either civilian or the military pilots :D I don't want to start a row
