Re: FSAirlines Beta Bugs
As i believe was mentioned on the fs airlines forum it is currently reading IAS and not groundspeed. If you are sat head into the wind it is possible that that may be the reason you get dinged?
see Dakurts message here: http://www.fsairlines.net/forum/viewtop ... =86&t=4875

Chaps,
I'm pretty sure you no have to hit the end flight button BEFORE shutting stuff down? i.e. get to the gate brakes on, hit end flight. ;-)

Re: FSAirlines Beta Bugs
Hi,
Yes Richard is correct, if you park into wind and have an IAS indication above 0.5 kts you will get dinged. As far as I am aware there is no requirement to taxi to any particular location or shut down your engines. The only requirement is parking brake on before you end the flight. The 'rolling' penalty incorrectly reporting is a bug introduced due to IAS being read instead of GS.
Park with tails into wind until this problem gets resolved!
Regards
John

Re: FSAirlines Beta Bugs
Hi John..
I presumed Claudio had sorted that already with the host software (ie, without the need for a client update until the next release). If this is not the case and/or is not possible until the next release, then yes.. park tail to the wind (not something you'd do in reality) if you're using real weather ;-)

Thanks everybody for the replies. If I had been on 100% I would be pretty annoyed. However I'm not. So I will lick my finger and stick it out the window next time I park up.

Re: FSAirlines Beta Bugs
Morning Everyone,
Just thought I'd try and get a quick flight in before work. Booked flight 7013 EHRD-EGKK in a HS748.
Noticed that client had been updated to v102, so downloaded and installed. When I came to start the flight I suddenly find that according to the client I no longer have FSUIPC 3.8.2 installed even though nothing has changed since I flew on Sunday and that I am at the wrong airport, although sitting on the tarmac at EHRD I was convinced otherwise.
Looks like I am going to have to cancel the flight and lose another v$xxx
Frankly I am slowly getting more and more unintersted in FSA, I tend to use CBFS as a stress relief for working long tedious days however this is slowly getting more stressful than reality. There again as real as it gets and I suppose a pilot has got quite a stressful job sometimes....
EDIT- 06:43--
Have just looked on the FSA forum and it would appear that this is an issue with the new cient v102 so if you can, try flying with the old version. It appears that quite a few people are getting annoyed by the changes from Flynet, i notice on the forum that at least two airlines are stopping flights ( just like the real thing?)
Just hoping that a new client is posted in time for me to make the flight this evening before I get stung for another cancellation fee for an issue that is not my fault.
Also wondering about timekeeping of the new client(s), looking at the flight info before trying to fly, I notice that a
12:15 - 13:15 flight (EHRD-EGKK) has a duration of 37 mins, flight to Rotterdam only took 24mins according to FSA, morelike 1hr - 1.5hr as i was flying slow on a fuel saving test.
Cheers

Re: FSAirlines Beta Bugs
The incorrect FSUIPC version was a database error which is now corrected.

Re: FSAirlines Beta Bugs
Hi Guy's..
Yes indeed.. while I slept, the dirty raskals released an updated client
Things are getting a little muddy over there but since Joe patched the database.. it looks like it's settled down so please give it a go at the first opportunity. I'll book a flight for this afternoon and report back.
It seems that uneven engine wear is still present (No.1 is wearing and the rest are not) but rolling penalty is gone thank goodness. I'm going to see if I can get all those who suffered this under the last client get the penalties removed.. hopefully something for John when he gets back off holiday
Give it a shot and report your findings here ;-)

THAT is most impressive Dan
Hat's off to you for sticking with FSX mate. You might have it working by the time FSXi comes out ;-)
