Hi Garry :)

I still have Oct 5th pencilled in but I'm not sure I'll be going. We'll see how bored I get in the meantime ;-) Tks for the HU on the Vulcan. That may just sway my decision :worried: First year of operation and I've still not seen it!

Get yourself to Old Warden Dave - there hopefully (To be confirmed!) will be a sight not seen since the 1940s; two airworthy Gloster Gladiators together! :)

The entrance fee would make up for my enforced non-attendance too!

Shameless plug, but hey :flying: :fart:

Sadly I'd love to be, but the lords and masters are sending me a few thousand miles away for a few weeks! :dunno:

Thanks for the info, Garry. The Vulcan was the main reason I was going to go...I still might, but its less likely now. Like Dave, I'll see how bored I am.

Yes.. it's a case of 'do I fly to New York or go to Old Warden.. New York as it's cheaper'!

Two Gladiators would be nice and I can only imagine the sound :tunes: It's quite remarkable but the Gladiators Mercury sounds so smooth.. the only thing that'd come close to hearing 2 in close formation would be IT and the Blenheim seen some years back  Never been to Old Warden either (the price has always put me off and it's a fudgin' long way to go) but.. you never know ;-)

Garry..
You popped in there as I'd posted so I ended up nowhere  Useful though all the same. I've made a mental decision NOT to make an effort to go and see it. If it turns up 'scheduled' at a show I go to.. then fair enough. I'm not gonna travel the globe anymore. Still have 9 years airframe life to go ;-)

I'd have thought it was closer to you than Duxford Dave? Only just up beyond Letchworth on the A1. :) You'll go there, fall in love with the place, join the SVAS (sorry, shameless plug again), and then never pay more than £10 to get into one of their aishows again, and never pay to get into the collection on non flying days!
