first of all : don't think it's pure criticism :'( If you see that photo posted (good for all Comets from 1 to 4 c) the fin is shorter and not so prounounced . In my opinion it should be lesser long and lesser tall but it's not a problem, your work is highly respectable and I am very happy to have the early Comets available, too. :welldone:
Remember the comet 4 has a much longer body then the 1 or 2. the longer the length between the tail and CG, the smaller the surfaces have to be to have the same effect.

the short bodied boeing 747sp, had to have a longer vertical tail because it was shorter,

I am betting the same thing happend here, but in reverse, the shorter tail would have less drag so I made sense to reduce it.

As far as I know the Comets tail never changed at least visually in that area they are identical

The 747SP had a bigger fin because it was shortend after design..the Comet was lengthened.

DC9 10-50 have the same tail as did the longer DC 8 over the shortened.........Tridet 3 had the same tail as the 1 and 2

Look at pictures of Comets and that will tell you. :)

The comet doesn't really have a prominent dorsal as such, more a small blending curved join at the front similar to the original Vanguard.

But thanks for the model Jens......it'll do fine just as it is

Thank you for this awesome aircraft, it completes the Comet collection. Thank you very very much, and also for your other contributions such as the Bristol Brabazon.
