Youtube is SO b1oody infuriating some times. The longest patch of uninterrupted vid I got out of the first run was 8secs and the shortest 2secs! :@

Tks for posting though Sketchy ;-)

I find that downloading the file and playing it offline tends to work best - particularly for a 16Mb file like this.

You need to add an extension to Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006) and have a means of playing the downloaded flv file (eg http://www.rivavx.de/index.php?id=422&) but no breaks in the video.

That was one of the best parts of the series, there is another one to Pink Floyd's shine on you crazy diamond where the bombheads
are bringing up missiles etc to load up. Looks like I'm going to have to watch this whole thing again lol, it's been a while. I managed to get
the redone dvd set off ebay a couple of years ago.

Alternatively, after watching you will find the file in your 'Temporary Internet files' folder. It will be called 'Get_video?.......'. Drag to your desktop (or any favoured folder) and rename 'xyz.flv' (it's the '.flv' part thats important). This will now play on Realplayer or Rivaplayer (both free).

Thanks, Sketchy for the link.
Excellent video and music.

Another one to use is:

www.Vixy.net

Its fairly easy to use, simply cut and paste the URL from the YouTube (or other vid hosting site you like) into the top bar, then in the box below choose which file format you wish it to be converted to, and it will do its black magic! Then it will be available to download. This has been a most helpful tool for making mood videos for work!

This is quite good, short and in black and white, but shows a Bucc S.1 being launched from the cat on HMS Eagle.

I think that's from the documentary 'Warship Eagle' which used to be available on DVD, well worth digging out if you can find it.

Wonderful :)

Interesting to see the Buccaneer nose wheel off the deck for take off (no lengthened nose wheel used). The catapult attachment point is also very unusual on the Buccaneer. On release, you almost expect to see the nose pitch down until the nose wheel contacts the deck. This obviously doesn't happen, or it would be pointless in lifting the nose wheel in the first place.
Also of note, is the size of the engine intakes on the RN Buccaneer - they appear significantly smaller than those of RAF aircraft.

Thanks for posting the link.
