Mooching around following the Tornado Link, found this.... VERY impressive. I would be a quivering wreck if I'd been any crew on this - but they performed superbly....

Excellent...but a pity it was filmed in wide screen...everything is squashed horizontally on a YouTube 4:3. You would think that YouTube would have an adjustable mini-screen format to cope with that.

Jim, thanks for posting - I must echo the professionalism comment. Everyone was so calm and collected and I just hope if that ever happens on a flight with me on board, the crew and controllers are as compent as this lot.

What surprised me about this incident was the speed with which the surge started. It was as near instantaneous as I can imagine
