A day out...

Post by DelP »

Hi folks,

My son and I spent a pleasant day at Bristol Zoo today, here's a few shots:

This is the closest I've ever been to a Lioness...four feet away and shot through a toughened glass screen:

Now here's concentration:

This one needs no comment:

Apologies for the copyright notices but this is a public forum.

Red Arrow seals:
I have bizarrely seen cows swim across a river in perfect Vic formation. Admittedly it was Bangladesh so they were used to swimming, but it's not something you expect!

Darn wish we had a decent Zoo for Tag here in Vegas -- If we want to go - we have to drive five hours to San Diego

The seals remind me of the Otter tank at Cannery Row in Monterrey - they were either floating on their backs on the surface or roaring around like manmen just missing each other

Great stuff and thanks Derek -- Tag enjoyed them

I want a tree like that!

Although aren't there four elephants on the back of a turtle, not the other way round? ((C) T.Pratchett)

I see where you're coming from SB ;-) ....

Brilliant photos Derek and pleased that the weather was nice. Long time since I last went to Bristol Zoo, in fact, I took the wife and kids when we stopped with my parents who used to live in the Wye Valley.

Just need to get out a bit more me!!

Regards
Nigel.
