I am more than happy with XP so will not even think about this one for some time, though they could pull the plug on XP support to make people move on.

Hi Garry, if they still do then it would probably be cheaper and less hassle to market a new product.

To sum it up..............look what happened to the Allegro!!

Hi Nigel

That's what I'm wondering..what's the point when it is scheduled to be replaced :)

Allegro.....yes, not no much something you remember, more like something you just can't forget

Issues, what issues? Noooo. It's the FSX of operating systems! Just give it enough system horsepower and it's reliable, solid and funky, too!
XP is soooo last century!

I don't have Vista and never intend to have it because from most accounts Vista is less then a steller O/S. Sales of Vista were below projections with a lot of corporations opting to stay with XP. I don't know if the latest Mac advert has made it's way across the pond yet, but it shows the PC guy dividing a pile of money between advertising Vista and fixing Vista's problems. The advertising pile gets about $20 for every $1 spent for fixing the problems. The Mac guy suggests putting it all in one pile but before he can say "put it in the fix Vista problem pile", the PC guy says "your right, that amount probably won't fix the problems!" and moves ALL the money to the advertising pile.

I got Vista X64 and I love it. Can't see myself wanting to go back to XP. Vista for me, is everything XP was and more.
