The Meaning of Liff

Post by DelP »

I had this book many years ago..by the late, great, Douglas Adams.

I've just found it again:

Note to self: I must stop working a permanent back-shift and find a normal 9 to 5

What a loss to the world was Douglas Adams - in so many ways. Although I'd seen this book on the shelves, I'd never got round to looking at it. Absolutely marvellous - Adams at his best!

Thanks for this link, Derek - I'll savour it one letter at a time.

Brilliant. Thanks for bringing it all back.

AIRD OF SLEAT (n. archaic)
Ancient Scottish curse placed from afar on the stretch of land now occupied by Heathrow Airport

No wonder Terminal 5 had such a rough start!
