Well, having originally come from the UK to the Colonies as a lad, I am familiar with those wars, even if my memory has fogged the details of those school lessons long ago.

My first day of school here and guess what they are studying in history? Yep, that minor insurrection known as the War of Independence or Revolutionary War, and of course Virgina played an important role in that skirmish. Some kids actually asked me if we celebrated the Fourth of July in England. I would politely inform them that no, we celebrated the Fifth of July - Riddance Day! ;-) Chucking perfectly good tea into the harbour really solved nothing. One thing hasn't changed - Americans still hate to be taxed. I am sure the Brits do also, but perhaps not with quite the same passion.

Mission accomplished successfully. Arrived 00.20, flight had landed early at 00.01 so the party had cleared everything and were just coming out. Hence no chance of any language problems - apart from mine when I found out it was going to cost 2 quid for the 15 minutes parking. :'( , and you wonder why we are still fighting the robbing *******s.

As to any excuse for a fight, lets face it, we are the undisputed war champions, and the reason the 100 years war took that long was the fact that we were enjoying winning it so much - we spun it out for the full session.

Glad to hear the mission went well Graham. Your right, the prices of parking at the airport has become extortionate.

Shame I could'nt pop over and exchange a few stories with you, alas I had a rather eventful evening at work.

I think the last forum member I saw at EGCC was Jonesey.

Maybe next time your over this way.

Then if Shakespeare was right straight into the War of the Roses.

Would indeed been nice to meet up, but as you say, perhaps next time.
