It is indeed over the Menai strait
I thought they were engineered by George Stephenson and Thomas Telford, not Brunel?

Correct Jonesey.. this made the IKB ref even more odd. It worked though cause I'd no idea where it was (not spotting the bridges didn't help)

There's a very interesting lecture transcript by LTC Rolt ( the very great transport historian, and I would recommend his books to anyone interested in transport history) on the connections between all 3 engineers and the bridges at
