Just a question - did anyone here go the the National Flight and Rail Simulation Show held in Birmingham last Saturday?
I did go since, I had missed the previous one. To be honest I was surprised and disappointed in 1) the size of the exhibition and lack of exhibitors plus; 2) the few number of punters there. I can recollect previous shows held at the now defunct Motorcyle Museum, near the NEC, being full to bursting with stands and fellow sim enthusiasts.
Anyone else think this? or, is it just me?

I was there for most of the day. This is only the second year it's been running at the think tank.
It was slightly smaller than last year and I guess there were slightly fewer attendees - the badge numbers hit 1000 towards the end of the day.
For those interested, there's a huge model train show at the NEC on the 23rd Nov that includes a few train sim stands.

Not sure if there will be any TS2 stuff there but Trainz2009, Rail Sim and MSTS1 will get a showing. Still there is an outside chance since MS recently held an ESP developers conference at the IWM a couple of days ago which featured videos of TS2.
The NEC warley show is a great place for kids big and small, though it can be very crowded. My little 4yo is probably a bit too small to take there.
I'll probably be hovering around the UK Trainsim stand for most of Sat if you're passing by.
