Hi folks,
Although I have no experience, I would very much like to have a go at producing a classic panel- gauges and all.
Any advice / pointers would be much appreciated.
Thanks Steve

making panels - a beginners guide please!

... nostalgia isn't what it used to be
Re: making panels - a beginners guide please!
A very good advice would be to start by reading the SDK regarding creating panels...
Then go take a dive into some existing panels, and try to figure out what the developer has done.
later on, take a visit to FSdeveloper, and start asking specific questions here and there. Plenty of help available, but it is of course very difficult to answer questions like: "How do I make a panel" .....
It is easier to get answers to: "How do I place my bmp file the correct place on the main panel window" or things like that...

I would say FS Panel Studio is essential if your going to be doing any amount of panel creation. The editor, (FS Aircraft Editor) that comes with FS9 is terrible.Garry Russell wrote:There is a programme for building panels

I've not tried it myself yet as the models are not quite finished.
