Really nice shots Joe.

As I set off for work Monday night I saw these two very bright stars....sorry....planets, I new one was Venus but could not think for the life of me what the other was.

Many thanks for clearing that up, must have read my mind!!

Regards
Nigel.

thats right and I'll tell ya what,, ...better get the car tuned before you take that trip........ :tab:

right Kevin I forgot the world is round and that the whole world may be reading this ...((hello world  ).
should have quantified that time frame with "viewable from this here area"
however jupiter and the moon will be close again, new years day, ....pre dawn accualy :worried:

heres a few more, afew more

the last one is Photoshopped . Two of the birds are as the were in the original pic , which did I copy and paste
not too hard to tell really...

first one use caution! sun glasses may be required
don't put this on your desktop and stare at it ... you'll see spots after....

interesting .. used PS 6.0 , auto contrast or auto levels didn't change the photo, a tad,... but .
a little unsharp mask and contrast , slight color balance and then resized

Know what?
i got real lucky with the timming, a cold front had come thru on Sunday, and Monday was'nt good either.
but as the sun started to go down the last line of clouds passed which I captured in the second shot
the last line I did'nt wait around for ....it was freezing! it's been unseasonlly cool , below normal for the last 14 days.
must be the global war  ming.

thanks for looking
