Hi Chris H; happy to stand (or in this case, sit) corrected - I remember the thread but like you not where it is... There are differing opinions but with RAM so cheap these days sticking in 4Gb isn't going to break the bank (unlike the old days!).

Exactly, even if you only get 3 point whatever out of it it's still cheaper and easier than messing around trying to make up the exact correct amount of RAM with miss-matched pairs.

Think you and Derek might be right after all......Fit new doors, saw a piece of wood and varnish it for the work top, as for a new kitchen sink, E-Bay might come in handy.

New doors, drawer fronts and fittings Nigel, solid wood work-tops with a few coats of waxoyl finish....buffs up a treat ;-)

..and save yourself a fortune ;-)

On the other hand, if you've got 25 grand to spare I used to work as a traditional cabinet maker and in the design office here:

Lovely kitchens, I was thinking along the lines of Dave when you posted that, got plenty of room on the driveway for your camper van and if it really gets cold, we can give you accomodation indoors!! Still I suppose with the reduction in VAT I could save something!! :think:

Thanks for that Nigel but the van is off the road ATM so I rely on push-bike and public transport...and anyway I hate working on kitchens
