AH P-38 Lightning any good?

Post by J0hn »

Hi all

JF have an offer on to buy the P-38 Lightning from Aeroplane Heaven for a mere £14.66.

From the screenshots it looks really good - something that Dave Garwood might turn out (thinking similarities to Beaufighter VC here in terms of visual quality/clarity).

Does anyone have it and what do you think of it?

I fly more VFR than anything, and it doesn't look like the view out of this bird is exactly panoramic. Of course, if an aircraft is so good, one can always cheat a little and use exterior views to spot those VRPs!

Mark (Miggers) swears by it - he flies Glacier Girl in FS9 all the time and it looks the dogs danglies well worth the price.

D'oh! :doho:

Thanks for your thoughts, though, chaps.
The demo of the Mossie was crippled in some ways, which made me hesitant - though I'm sure it'll find its way into my hangar sooner or later.

Very much of a compliment Dave, if it's half as good as your stuff it will be pretty damn good :welldone:

I've got this and its pretty damn good,

You can see for yourself in the demo, but in the full pack you get a massive amount of variants, and aircraft that flys you, not you fly it, and a sound set that damn near broke my computer speakers the first time I flew it, very, very loud.

As you can see, I like it a lot,

James.

OK - ta. I haven't had time to try the demo yet, but have pretty much decided already that I will be getting it soon - while the offer is still on.

The Mossie is reduced slightly, too - so the two of them will doing a Scotflight tour in the near future.
