Hi All.
Yesterday i was speaking to a UPS driver at manchester airport, they where told by the new boss there, that they could not:-
Wear fatherchristmas hats, not part of their uniform, sackable offence.
Could not except presents from customers, sackable offence.
Could not do a secret santa,by giving prestents to one and other, sackable offence.
Could not put christmas tinsel in the cabs, sackable offence.
And no christmas bonus this year for them.
And you thought scrooge was dead,WRONG.
regards alan.

Re: scrooge lives
So is there any truth behind this or is it just another "eee by gum the world's gone mad" type of thing that lays the blame at the new local boss rather than where it belongs, i.e the policy makers running these companies from luxury offices taking huge bonuses at the end of the year?
I'm sure almost all of these things are company policy and aren't dictated by local bosses, and to be honest with everyone seeking compensation against everyone else things like tinsel in the cabs and not accepting presents from customers seems only like common sense.

I was in total agreement with the management ...
... until I got to the bit about the bonus!
