Sim age preference
Just a question for me to gauge what others do. I am thinking of binning my modern fleet of aircraft and just flying Classic ie VC10 age and going back to the Golden Age.
How many of you just fly Classics and have no modern fleets?

Hi Simon
I suppose it depends on what you call modern but I don't have what most here would consider a modern fleet of any description. One cannot fail to be impressed by the systems on RW aircraft but sim versions don't interest me at all ;-)

The most modern aircraft I'd fly would be the 146.... if it worked well in FSX
Ben.

Re: Sim age preference
To clarify I mean the aircraft flown. I'm thinking of pre 1975.

No preference. It depends on the day. In my Gmax folder you will find everything from botched attempts at Shackletons to botched attempts at A340s.
And a botched attempt at that as well.Techy111 wrote:I'm quite partial to a tube liner meself.....love the 8's

Re: Sim age preference
Classic jets only for me. David Maltby's Fab Four, Erick's 727s, HJG 707s plus occasional sorties in the Posky 747-200 and the Sabre. The most modern is the 742 in BA Chatham Dockyard livery :o (but I'm allowed that one because I've got a doctor's note
).

Re: Sim age preference
I fly all sorts.
I prefer the bigger stuff, it mainly depends on the quality of the model, though I tend to fly a good mixture of old and new.
For example some of the stuff I have been flying recently:
DC-6
DC-7
Level D 767
POSKY 747
727
Vanguard
Argosy
HS748
etc. The List goes on but there are days when I feel like flying modern aircraft, and days when Im happier pottering around in a tiger moth.
