I agree Tony. The APU wouldn't be on as its switched off on most aircraft once the main generators are online. If your in an airliner as a passenger there will often be a very quick light flicker as the power is switched from the APU to the main supply. The APU is then switched off.

ahem..not necessarily...if t/o with anti-icing 'on' its usual to leave apu on to provide cabin air, to give the engines a chance of maintaining
t/o performance while sustaining a heavy bleed air demand.
