Post by bigred1970 »

this is a learjet size plane. I have enjoyed flying it since it has a very detailed panel

the file name for the fs9 version is fs9_pd808rm.zip and there is a fsx version that has just been uploaded

Sounds interesting. Quite partial to an Italian now and again. Thx for the heads up. ;-)

There used to be one that came into Luton when I was a lad - think it was Piaggio's demostrator - and they brought it for MacAlpine and Charringtons to look at (They both operated P166s at the time

that picture is an exact match for one of the textures.

this is a really good plane from what i have seen so far in flying it. the panel is very good quality (though some of the gauges look familiar  )

it is nice to have a small jet that is as detailed as some of my bigger airliners.

I was trying it last night and it's a nice model. However on approach the 2d view is unworkable, and the VC seems to cause a massive frame rate drop.

I've changed the 2D "VIEW_FORWARD_DIR" to 5 down and increased the wing incidence from 0 to 2 degrees so I can at least see where I'm going without needing to approach at 200kts. With the two changes it's possible to complete the approach at the recommended speeds. Bumping the VC view point up by 0.4 helps too.

I thought the cabin pressure controller looked like the one in the 748 too.

Nice systems though, and the engine system seem to have failures built in too.

Cheers,
--Graeme

We used to see the Charringtons one in Blackpool quite often.

Rumour has it that one day, because of some lumpy weather about, they requested climb to get on top.

Having done so, there was "pop..pop...pop" as a case of sample tins of their product domed and popped because of the extra height. Took a while to clean out. :doho:
