Here's the Hangar Vid - Its a 43Mb MP4 so you'll need a Quicktime plugin or similar for your browser.

Thanks Keith and Rich for pinning down the music for me, I’ve now downloaded a copy from i-tunes.

Rich, I too still have a VHS tape with this on, however, I no long have a VCR.

I seem to remember the original documentary being interspersed with a number of other aviation articles. In particular I recall an air-to-air refuelling sequence involving either a VC-10 or Victor tanker and some Tornados. If you’re able, I’d be most grateful if you would upload this sequence, as I’d love to see it again.

Hi Alex,

Yep - leave it with me. I hadn't noticed that wasn't part of the links above as I only clicked on the first one to see if its what I thought it was. Now you mention it I remember the VC-10s, a little thing on air racing on the isle Of White, and some guy who had a flying boat operation in Australia. Hopefully I can do it by about mid-week.

Cheers

What a lovely film that is..

I'm left feeling terribly sad yet immensely proud with goosebumps and the hair on the back of my neck standing up

One of the nicest bits of film I've seen

How the hell did we get to refuelling Hercs on a Concorde thread Tony

I don't think Mr T likes refuelling Hercs much. They're at fullchat and he's borderline stall  Seriously.. I think their transfer rate is slow so it's b1oody hard work. Most other things are refuelled at around FL200 but Mr T will give gas wherever it's needed. Not sure what the limit is for Hercs though :dunno:

Those clips are excellent. :)

The music in the opening sequence of clip one used to feature in BBC's 1980's episodes of Record breakers during the challenges in the show. I always wondered what it was called as I loved it. Now I know!

Thanks guys. :welldone:
