Fresh new hangar and back in business

Post by VEGAS »

Just a quick snap of a sortie I conducted earlier this evening with one of my first addition's to what is at the moment an empty and deserted hangar.

En route into EGLL with Margaret Thatcher on board!

Posted especially for Dan. ;-)

Well done, Eddie. Good to see you've got your priorities 'reasonably' well sorted.

I'd probably guess that I'm one of the few people here who has actually flown Mrs. Thatcher into EGLL for real, although not in an RAF aircraft. By then she was Baroness Thatcher and was returning from New York after a lecture tour and still warranted an armed guard. I have to say that she was utterly charming and friendly and had not an ounce of superiority. A lovely lady.

Oh - nice picture too!

Ian

Not heard many bad stories about her from people that have had encounters with her over the years Ian.

I was a little young when she was in power to really form any sort of opinion.

Although our free school milk was stopped during the 1980's and the kids said it was down to her.
