Coming back to Concorde, I recollect another BBC Documentary covering a flight from London to New York. All I can remember was the Captain announcing to the Passengers, after she had landed/taxi-ing at JFK was that, a 747, which had departed LHR at the same time, had not quite reached half-way across the Atlantic. Says it all really...

I did enjoy the links to the Noel Edmonds trip - a nice supplement to the excellent ITVV Concorde LHR-JFK-LHR dvd.
