Roger Skip, I'll make sure I do that...just as soon as I've managed to get it started.
Actually, Ive had a busy day, so haven't had time to play with it. Paul Frimston has very kindly sent me the printer-friendly check lists, weights and speeds that went into the manual, so I'm going to print them off and play further.
I see Iris have released a 'mode changer' to allow simpler operation, but I'd be missing a huge slice of what this model offers if I used that. I really want to learn this thing from the ground up, start and stop engines, familiarize myself with the avionics, maybe do fast taxi runs, all before I think of taking her up.
I have one or two little niggles, but they are born out of personal preferences rather than bugs or errors. I wonder if Iris would be amenable to my suggestions ?
Anyway, I have a feeling the Iris Vulcan will be the 'tipping point' for many still debating whether to buy FSX. I don't want to reignite the controversy, but it really is good...very British and an absolute classic.
