I spent much of the weekend with my ex. I hear you saying...this was "A Great Weekend"?? Perhaps we're not your typical ex's...no bitter hatred between us, no animosity. Most of the problems in the marriage brought on by yours truly. :-( We had a great weekend spending a lot of quality time together...cooking, talking, and other stuff. Like I said, it was a great weekend.
From me anyway, thanks for sharing that...it's good to know that it doesn't always have to end in grief. Relevant for me as well, as this weekend I will be meeting my ex's new partner. My ex and I have maintained a mostly friendly and supportive relationship over time....and we have a young son, so it's been important that he's had the support from both of us and there have been no problems with contact or parental responsibilities.
The thought of seeing the three of them together for the first time is gut-wrenching to say the least..but I'm sure it will all work out for the best.
I've locked the Neanderthal in the cupboard ;-)
ATB,
Derek ;-)

Thanks for deleting the duplicate post, Derek. You definitely have my deepest sympathies concerning your upcoming meeting with your ex. I don't know if I'd have the strength to handle a situation like that without crawling off to a corner and crying my eyes out. :-( Take care.
I've had a terrible weekend.....had to endure three hours in the back of a Chipmunk yesterday.....no movie, no inflight catering (cept for a packet of polos) and almost no visibility either!! Terrible eh?
