Saw that yesterday and followed a couple of links from the page. Anyone got a largish balloon they don't need?

Amazing stuff. Out of interest, what precautions (UK) would you need to take before trying something like that here in our congested airspace?

At a guess, inform the CAA of the time and location of the planned launch and ideally away from congested airspace, probably include a radar reflector in the design somewhere which I know a Canadian who did the same thing did by putting a sheet of foil inside the balloon.
Alternatively don't tell anyone and work on the big sky concept!
