I never realized Arthur Godfrey was a pilot. He used to be on the telly quite a lot and was obviously very wealthy. The airstrip he mentions in Leesburg, Virginia is about 10 miles from where I live. I wonder if it is now KJYO - Leesburg Executive Airport. I'll have to do some research and try to find out.
Just found this on Wikipedia "In 1960, Godfrey proposed building a new airport by selling the old field, and donating a portion of the sale to a local group. Since Godfrey funded the majority of the airport, it is now known as Leesburg Executive Airport at Godfrey Field."
