I went flying again today...

Post by petermcleland »

A friend owns this nice little Robinson44 and I got a ride today:-

Image
It has just landed and I'm about to go for a ride.

Image
About to lift off.

Image
Bumbling along towards my village.

Image
Panel looks pretty nice...I bet Rick could make a lovely model of this!

Image
Here is a local well known beach.

Image
My house is about centre with the curved hedge at the front.

Image
Here is a crop...I live in the smaller model in the middle.

Image
Back at my friend's farm now and we have just touched down.

Image
Pretty smart eh?...The last three letters of the reg are my friend's initials.

Image
Well that was just great to be back in a helicopter after all these years...Last time was in 1958 in a Sycamore! :flying:

What...not even a front seat for Peter or would itchy fingers be hovering near the controls? (sorry for the pun)!!

Lovely shots as always Peter, one thing I have never done is had a flight in a helicopter, come to think of it, rather be something a bit more stable with wings. :$

Regards
Nigel.

Lovely shots Peter - sounds like you had a good time :flying:

I was half expecting to scrol down and see some inverted stuff with your good self at the controls

Hmmm, Skippy...I might have seen you a while ago and did wonder...You might like to carry a strop next time you try (I might need rescueing). :flying:

Just Flight made one a while ago Peter, see....

It's a bit 'twitchy' in FSX but quite nice to fly and looks good both internally and externally and has several variants including one with 'emergency' floats. It also has a nice paintkit IIRC. Can't speak of the FS9 version as I have not tried it.

If you're lucky you can pick this up cheap in the "FS Chopper Fever" package, which also includes the 300cbi. If you seach around you can usually get it cheaper than either of the parts.
