Bang!
I still can't decide whether I find it impressing or simply ugly...

I see this tinker on a regular basis (when the cloud doesn't spoil things) on a Wed when I'm at Brooklands. No mistakin' the Emirates aircraft as they have EMIRATES painted in fa'hookin big letters on the underside.. the only aircraft so painted me thinks

Indeed mate ;-) They actually sound
different to most other aircraft too.. ok, not as different as a VC10, 1-11 or Concorde but different all the same

For me the A380 looks like she was designed with an even larger version in mind. Her wings look (to me anyway) too large for her fuselage. Maybe Airbus could insert a 20 ft 'plug' forward of the wing, and a 10 ft 'plug' behind the wing. That would make room for a few more seats or maybe even a tennis court or bowling alley like she was supposed to have in the first place.

You're right. See "Airbus A380-900" Can seat about 1000 people :o
I flew one an EK A380 to Dubai and I must say that I really like it. Very smooth, very quiet, very spacious even in economy. A truly great aeroplane

Nice one Tony
I didn't realise Emirates painted the wording on their Boyngs too. Shows just how hard I look when
they fly over

The A380 is so out of proportion aesthetically, but obviously for good reasons. She needs a 50 ft fuselage extension
